I am going to share with you the amazingness that is the Enchanted Forest coloring book by Johanna Basford. I got this book in January after hearing so much about it. I had tried a couple of adult coloring books last year, but just didn't get too into them. I needed something more. So after much looking on Amazon, I decided to try the Enchanted Forest one. So I ordered it along with some special coloring pencils and let me tell you, this book is awesome! I love sitting at night while my son is watching tv at our home in Middle Tennessee.
It is so relaxing and such a stress reliever. And while coloring something that I didn't expect happened...I found myself getting the urge to start being more creative and actually wanting to take photographs again. I ended up taking several weeks off from photography in December. I was about to give up on my business and go back to only taken random pics of my family. For some reason I had gone into a very big slump. So I started coloring.
And at some point I found myself wanting to pick up the camera again. I felt the urge to create art that is my own again. I found that I do not want to give up on my business. I became determined to somehow make a successful photography business here in Middle Tennessee. I still don't have the 'how' completely figured out, but I the desire is not going away. And as they say "where there's a will, there's a way".
So, there's a still a very long way to go with the coloring book (and my business), but I am not giving up on either!
I love photography, it has been my passion for many years, and now I am at a place where I can finally share my passion with others.
So if anyone is in a slump, get yourself a coloring book and start coloring!
