I started to simply share these on my personal Facebook page, but decided it was best put in a blog post. As many know, my granny was diagnosed with breast cancer around Christmas. She had a mastectomy in February and recently started chemotherapy.
Today, her hair started to fall out. So our very good friend Jackie - she & her sister (& their families) are way more than friends, they are part of our family. But anyways, Jackie came up to granny's house to get rid of the hair.
Before we started, we were told "Do not put my bald head on Facebook!". While I documented that part, we are not showing it right now. I love the wig, and the fact that she no longer has to worry with fixing her hair kind of makes me want one lol.
It was a bit sad, but granny is doing very well with everything. She has always been one to not let stuff bother her too much. That is a trait I so wish I had inherited, but instead all I got was the green eyes, allergies, and neck problems. So cancer is scary and we don't know where this road will lead but we will just put our trust in God and know that he is watching over her.
